I was really wowed by Silverwood Theme Park, not so much by the rides, but by the friendly and unhurried atmosphere of this lovely independent park.

While you’re in Boise, take time to see the Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey with endangered raptors and daily presentations!
Make sure to see the Basque Block in downtown Boise, including the Boise Basque Museum. The Saturday-only boardinghouse is not to be missed!
Take a look at the Boise Art Museum, with a wide array of pieces in a relatively small space. Make sure not to miss the beautiful rose garden outside!
The Idaho Botanical Garden, right next to the Old Idaho Penitentiary, has everything from native high desert, fire-resistant plants, to a walled English garden.
A visit to the Old Idaho Penitentiary is more fun than it might seem! Definitely creepy, but also beautiful and funny.
Take a look around the Idaho Black History Museum, housed in a beautiful church in Julia Davis Park – just in case you can’t find it open
Take a look at the Idaho State Museum, a fantastic view of Idaho’s history & culture through loads of interactive displays.
