About Me
Have you ever been driving from point A to point B and wanted to check out whatever looked interesting down this road or that? Promising that you’ll come back one day when you have more time, but you never do? Have you ever come back from vacation feeling like you’ve just scratched the surface? Most of us don’t have as much freedom as we want to explore the world we live in, and I am determined to change that for myself, and perhaps, for you too.
My name is Sara Beth Wade, and so far, I have spent my whole life in Chattanooga, TN. I have always done what I thought I was “supposed” to do with my life–go to college, get a job, buy a house (all good things!) But for me, the whole shebang fell apart a few years ago. To see more details of this part of my life, see this post.
It was as if the blinders fell from my eyes, I looked around at my life and asked, “Is this what I wanted?” How many years had I wasted, trapped in an office, parked in front of a computer for other people to use?
Around this time, I was introduced to the idea of full-time travel as a job. There are people who actually travel for a living! I figured if other people could make it work, so could I.
I built this blog in order to find my voice in the world, to create and contribute some part to it. Here, I will document my transition from office worker to full-time traveler, share my experiences, and figure out how to live along the way.
If you want to start at the beginning of my journey from office worker to world traveler, start here.
